Raja Ampat

Raja Ampat is mostly known among divers for its amazing coral reefs and abundance of marine life. It is located within the Coral Triangle, one of the most biodiverse regions in the world.
The Raja Ampat archipelago, Raja Ampat meaning "Four Kings", is made up of four major islands (Waigeo, Misool, Salawati, Batanta), and over 600 smaller islands. It is located off the Northwestern tip of West Papua, the most Eastern part of Indonesia. It is a true mecca for wide-angle enthusiasts.
Raja Ampat is not as easy to reach as some of the other diving areas in Indonesia (nearest airport is in Sorong), but because of this there are many beautiful untouched beaches as well as fewer liveaboards to share dive sites with.
