Fish ID (PADI)

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to advance your diving, build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. The course builds on what you have learned in the Open Water Diver course and introduces you to new activities. You log dives under the supervision of your PADI instructor while gaining experience and developing your capabilities.

Of the 5 training dives included in the course, the Deep Adventure Dive and the Underwater Navigation Adventure dive are both mandatory. For the other three dives you can choose what interests you or is most relevant for you. All dives count as the first dive of the associated PADI Specialty Course.

Duration:  2 to 3 days (5 dives)
During the course you will learn how to:
  • Plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving.
  • Refine your compass navigation skills and better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
The other knowledge and skills you get will vary based on which Adventure Dives you choose next to the mandatory Deep and Navigation dives.

After this course you will be qualified to dive to 30m / 100ft deep.
To enroll in the course you are required to:
  • Be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver / Junior Open Water Diver or hold an equivalent certification with another training agency.
  • Be 15 years or older (12 years for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver).
  • Have filled in the PADI Medical Questionnaire. If any of the items in the PADI Medical Questionnaire apply to you, you must consult a physician prior to participating in scuba diving.
